About Course

This course is designed to introduce children to the exciting world of robotics through hands-on activities and projects. Over the span of few weeks, students will learn fundamental concepts of electronics, programming, and robotics using the Wokwi platform and Arduino. They will progressively advance from basic circuit control to building and programming their own line-following robot car.

This course is designed to introduce children to the exciting world of robotics through handson activities and projects. Over the span of few weeks, students will learn fundamental concepts of electronics, programming, and robotics using the Wokwi platform and Arduino. They will progressively advance from basic circuit control to building and programming their own linefollowing robot car. Introduction to Wokwi Platform and Arduino Basics: Explore the Wokwi platform and basic Arduino functionalities. Understand concepts of current, voltage, and energy. Learn to control LEDs using Arduino and write basic code using conditional statements and loops. Exploring Arduino Programming and Circuit Control: Upload code to Arduino and set up ports. Control single and multiple LEDs. Introduce variables, if statements, and for loops in C programming. Handson with Sensors and Basic Electronics: Utilize sensors such as LDR for automatic lighting and gas sensors for leak detection. Understand practical electronics and control electrical components using relays. Advanced Sensor Integration and Practical Electronics: Implement sensors like servo motors controlled by joysticks and ultrasonic sensors. Introduction to infrared sensors for controlling house appliances. Assembling and Configuring the Car: Assemble the car and understand motor movement with respect to L298N pins. Explore motor movement possibilities and finalize student cars for control. Advanced Car Control Techniques: Use ultrasonic sensors for collision avoidance and edge detection. Implement PID control for smoother car movement. Introduction to Line Following Concepts: Learn about infrared sensors for detecting color differences and following lines. Implement linefollowing algorithms into the car code. Finalizing and Testing the Line Following Robot (LFR): Utilize calculated errors to control car speed and direction for line following. Test and debug Line Following Robot (LFR) for maze solving and review sessions. Outcomes: Understanding of basic electronics and circuit control. Proficiency in Arduino programming and sensor integration. Handson experience in assembling and programming a linefollowing robot car. Problemsolving skills and critical thinking through robotics projects. Application of coding concepts in realworld scenarios.
